Report: Israel Making Preparations To Strike Iran Nuclear Facilities

Israel is preparing to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities, according to a report from CNN.

The report does say it is unclear if a final decision has been made.

CNN reported:

The US has obtained new intelligence suggesting that Israel is making preparations to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, even as the Trump administration has been pursuing a diplomatic deal with Tehran, multiple US officials familiar with the latest intelligence told CNN.

Such a strike would be a brazen break with President Donald Trump, US officials said. It could also risk tipping off a broader regional conflict in the Middle East — something the US has sought to avoid since the war in Gaza inflamed tensions beginning in 2023.

Officials caution it’s not clear that Israeli leaders have made a final decision, and that in fact, there is deep disagreement within the US government about the likelihood that Israel will ultimately act. Whether and how Israel strikes will likely depend on what it thinks of the US negotiations with Tehran over its nuclear program.

But “the chance of an Israeli strike on an Iranian nuclear facility has gone up significantly in recent months,” said another person familiar with US intelligence on the issue. “And the prospect of a Trump-negotiated US-Iran deal that doesn’t remove all of Iran’s uranium makes the chance of a strike more likely.”

Oil prices rose after reports.

Reuters reported:

Oil prices rose more than 1% on Wednesday after reports that Israel could be preparing to strike Iranian nuclear facilities raised fears of a supply disruption in the Middle East.
Brent futures rose 79 cents, or 1.2%, to $66.17 a barrel by 1018 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude jumped 82 cents, or 1.3%, to $62.85.

“Such an escalation would not only put Iranian supply at risk, but also (put supply at risk) in large parts of the broader region,” ING commodities strategists said.

CNN’s Jake Tapper Says He Apologized To Lara Trump Over 2020 Interview

Jake Tapper told Megyn Kelly he called Lara Trump to apologize over their interview in 2020.

Tapper said, “I’ve already apologized to her. I called her months ago.”

He also admitted, “But, as I said, her comments have aged well, my comments have aged poorly. I own that.”

Breitbart reported:

Tapper said, “I’ve already apologized to her. I called her months ago.” He added that he thinks the conversation went well and that Trump said she’d never mock anyone’s stutter.

He added, “The first time I saw the coverage of Lara Trump’s comments, which were interpreted as her mocking Joe Biden’s stutter, was in January 2020. I read it in conservative media, I read it in the Daily Mail, and that’s where I saw that her comments were being interpreted that way. After those comments were publicized, it got a lot of coverage and Sully Sullenberger wrote an op-ed in The New York Times criticizing her about this. So, that’s the context for that, that I was following up on a story that had been out there months before. This is also in the context of October 2020, a very intense time, people on the Biden side are saying crazy things about Trump, people on the Trump side are saying crazy things about Biden, including Don Jr. suggesting that Joe Biden is a pedophile. So, that is the larger context. But, as I said, her comments have aged well, my comments have aged poorly. I own that.”

Here is a video of the interview from 2020.

One of the biggest cover-ups in American political history.

Trump Effect: Federal Law Enforcement, Border Security Applications Surging

The Trump administration is seeing a surge in applications in the Border Patrol, the U.S. Secret Service, and the U.S. Coast Guard.

Border Patrol saw a 44% increase in the first four months of the Trump administration compared to the same four months last year.

The Coast Guard is exceeding its recruitment goals by 110%.

Center Square reported:

A record number of people are applying for jobs in federal law enforcement and border security positions in the Trump administration.

In the first four months of the administration, U.S. Border Patrol received 34,650 applications, representing a 44% increase over the same four-month period in 2024, The Center Square reported. Under U.S. Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks, Texas’ first border czar, the first quarter of 2025 marks “the most successful four-month recruitment stretch in the agency’s history.”

The U.S. Coast Guard also saw a massive spike of applications after failing to meet recruiting targets every year under the Biden administration.

Since January, the Coast Guard is on track to exceed its recruitment goals by 110%, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security says. So far this fiscal year, the Coast Guard has already recruited more than 4,700 new members, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said. Under Trump, the Coast Guard has surged resources to secure U.S. borders and is seizing record amounts of illicit drugs, The Center Square reported.

Secret Service applications have surged 200% since Trump took office, according to DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

DHS Press Release:

“Under President Trump and Secretary Noem’s leadership, our men and women in uniform are respected again and empowered to do their jobs,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Since President Trump took office, more Americans have applied to join the Border Patrol than any time in its history; Secret Service applications have surged 200%; and the US Coast Guard is now on pace to exceed recruitment by 110%. America can be proud of its brave men and women who are making America safe again.”

After being empowered by President Trump and Secretary Noem to finally secure our border, more Americans applied to join the Border Patrol than over any five-month stretch in its history. From January to May 2025, the agency received nearly 35,000 applications, a 44% increase from the same period in 2024.

Over that same period, the Secret Service received over 22,000 applications. This is a 200% increase over the same time frame in 2024, when it received only 7,000 applications. Notably, this surge in interest came after Secretary Noem cancelled all DEI programs and hiring practices at the Secret Service.

Trump’s “One Big, Beauftiful Bill” Clears Key Hurdle

The Donald Trump-backed “one big, beautiful bill” has been passed through the House Budget Committee.

It now heads to the House Rules Committee and then to the House for a vote.

Fox News reported:

President Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill” survived a key hurdle in the House of Representatives on Sunday night, putting it one step closer to a chamber-wide vote later this week.

Lawmakers on the House Budget Committee were summoned back to Washington for a 10 p.m. meeting to vote again on the bill. It passed the panel in a nearly party-line vote, 17 to 16, with four Republicans voting “present.”

The four conservatives voted “present” in an effort to move discussions forward on Sunday night after getting those assurances from House GOP leaders.

Advancing the legislation through the House Budget Committee is a largely procedural move. Lawmakers have signaled that some changes will be introduced as amendments in the House Rules Committee, the final gatekeeper before a House-wide vote, sometime early this week.

Trump celebrated it, congratulating Republicans.

Truth Social:

CONGRATULATIONS REPUBLICANS!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

Pass the bill!

Trump Attending House GOP Meeting

President Donald Trump is attending a House Republican Conference meeting on Tuesday.

This comes as Republicans work to pass Donald Trump’s “one big, beautiful bill.”

The Hill reported:

President Trump is slated to attend a House Republican Conference meeting on Tuesday at the Capitol as the party charts the path forward on a massive reconciliation package containing key pieces of his agenda.

The White House signaled earlier Monday that Trump would get involved to try to win over holdouts if called upon to do so.

“Over the weekend the president was in direct conversation and communication with the Speaker of the House. He’s been very involved. He always is,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters earlier Monday. “He’s willing to pick up the phone when he is asked to. So he’ll continue to be very engaged in this process with both House members and his friends on the Senate side as well.”

The bill passed a key hurdle on Sunday night, getting through the House Budget Committee.

Biden Diagnosed With Aggressive Form Of Cancer

Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

According to a statement, “The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.”

Image

CNN reported:

Former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, according to a statement from his personal office Sunday, and it has spread to his bones.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said.

The doctors deemed it aggressive, but said it is responding to hormone treatment.

Post Millennial reported:

Doctors have categorized the cancer as aggressive, but they noted that it remains responsive to hormone treatment. “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement continued.

Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, wishing Joe Biden a “fast and successful recovery.”

Truth Social:

Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.

House GOP Moves To Bar Comey From Holding Federal Positions

GOP lawmakers introduced a resolution to bar former FBI Director James Comey from holding a federal position.

The resolution “urges the relevant authorities to take every relevant action to ensure that is never again permitted to serve as an employee of the federal government.”

Just The News reported:

Lawmakers on the House Republican Study Committee on Friday introduced a resolution that would block former FBI Director James Comey from holding a federal position if passed.

The resolution comes after Comey shared a post on Instagram that appeared to call for the removal or assassination of President Donald Trump. The Thursday post, which has since been deleted, showed the numbers “8647” etched in the sand at a beach via seashells.

The numbers are perceived as a call to “86” the 47th president, which can be used as a call sign for murder.

The proposed resolution “urges the relevant authorities to take every relevant action to ensure that [Comey] is never again permitted to serve as an employee of the federal government.”

This comes after a social media post made by James Comey.

Donald Trump blasted Comey over the post, saying Comey “knew exactly what that meant. A child knows what that meant. If you’re the FBI director and you don’t know what that meant, that meant assassination.”

ABC News reported:

Trump, however, in an interview except aired Friday, told Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier” that he doesn’t buy Comey’s explanation.

“He knew exactly what that meant. A child knows what that meant. If you’re the FBI director and you don’t know what that meant, that meant assassination,” the president said.

Trump fired Comey in his first administration and the president claimed Comey still has an axe to grind.

“Well, he apologized because he was hit — he’s a very bad guy,” Trump said.

Biden Admitted To Keeping Classified Docs For “Posterity’s Sake”

During his interview with Robert Hur, Joe Biden admitted that he held onto classified documents for “posterity’s sake.”

After initially claiming he didn’t recall why he had the documents, Biden said, “I guess I wanted to hang on to it for posterity’s sake. I mean, this was my position on Afghanistan. I’ve been of the view from a historical standpoint that there are certain points in history, world history, where fundamental things change using technology.”

Fox News reported:

Former President Joe Biden, in newly leaked audio of his interview with special counsel Robert Hur, admitted he likely kept a classified document related to Afghanistan after he left the vice presidency for “posterity’s sake.”

Biden first said he didn’t recall why he had the document when asked about it by Hur, who told him it was found in the library of his lake house.

“I guess I wanted to hang on to it for posterity’s sake. I mean, this was my position on Afghanistan. I’ve been of the view from a historical standpoint that there are certain points in history, world history, where fundamental things change using technology,” he said.

“So, there are a lot of things that I think are fundamentally changing how international societies function, and they relate a lot to technology.”

This comes after the audio of Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur was released.

Axios reported:

Amid long, uncomfortable pauses, Joe Biden struggled to recall when his son died, when he left office as vice president, what year Donald Trump was elected or why he had classified documents he shouldn’t have had, according to audio Axios obtained of his October 2023 interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.

Why it matters: The newly released recordings of Biden having trouble recalling such details — while occasionally slurring words and muttering — shed light on why his White House refused to release the recordings last year, as questions mounted about his mental acuity.

The audio also appears to validate Hur’s assertion that jurors in a trial likely would have viewed Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Partly based on that determination, Hur decided not to prosecute Biden for improper possession of classified documents, angering Republicans because Trump was facing charges in his own classified document scandal then.

The Democrats and the media lied.
